⚔️ if you haven’t heard yet- witches that have affiliation with racist movements/organizations have been circulating posts to hex us and dismantle our spellwork; if you’re doing spells for protesters or hexing any oranges PLEASE onion layer your wards like crazy, make sure you’re semi vague about spellwork you’re posting online for it (knowing exactly what goes into a spell makes it much easier to tear apart) go overboard with all of it, with enough countering energy they won’t have a chance to break through anything.

handful of green witch tips ✨🌱

  • tending to a compost pile is a good way to ground yourself and connect with earth while reducing your waste and nourishing your beautiful plant babies
  • light as big/small a white candle as you’d like every day for a bit of cleansing to avoid stale energy build up
  • if you have the time/energy/money, consider looking into getting a nano fish tank (or bigger if you’d like- but at least 3 gal for a betta pls) and setting it up with live plants, healthy substrate(not colourful gravel), and a betta fish! taking care of a tiny ecosystem, watching algae form and getting to know the personality of my betta(s) has honestly been a great way for me to meditate, connect to earth and my craft, and it’s honestly just fun and not a very tasking thing at all! please do your research and don’t do this until you’re sure you can give your betta a proper set up and life!!
  • try to do some yoga/body stretches if you can, keep it as simple as you need but it can be so relaxing and it relieves a fair amount of body pains (for me at least)
  • propagate Wild Plants ! never take much ofc and be respectful to the nature around you, please consider coming with a thank you gift to leave after you collect your props!
  • river rocks for your alter are pretty neat and carry so much calming water energy
  • always have a 1:4 hydrogen peroxide;water mix in a spray bottle ready to go at all times if you have plant babes- especially if you have more than a handful or so, you’ll thank me! gnats are a pain and spread/kill fast

Are you in a dorm or other place where you can’t burn candles, but the healing spell asks for a blue candle? Use washi tape to turn your electric candle into a blue one! Do you want to burn a rose candle on your Aphrodite altar but you’re not allowed an open flame? Well, it doesn’t smell like roses but it’s pretty and has pink flowers!

Do you want the tealight in forest-themed travel altar to match the rest of the aesthetic? Washi tape!

Washi tape is removable, so you can keep changing the colour to whatever you need. And you can write on it, so instead of carving candles, you can draw your sigils or runes on the tape!

sage salt 🌿🧂

pretty versatile sage salt with great protective qualities; along with some tips/inspo for how to use this salt~

what you’ll need;


• 1 tbs sage

• 1 tbs sea salt


how to make it;


• crush & combine in a mortar and pestle or something similar.. that’s about it!


- ✨


to turn into…


• poultry seasoning salt

- add thyme, paprika, garlic, and black pepper to taste or in 1 tbs ratios


• psychic protection salt

- add blue lotus petals**, dragons blood ash, and black pepper


• cleansing salt

- add eucalyptus and lavender


• home ward salt

- add black pepper, cloves, and bay leaf

[**] blue lotus is believed to have psychoactive properties; the many times ive worked with this petal ive never had any adverse reaction like that but please do your research and use caution because at the end of the day i don’t know what this stuff can do i only know my experience with it

rain cleansing🕯

during a good downpour, take all of your crystals you’re looking to cleanse (that won’t dissolve away in water like selenite, etc) and place them either on grass, clean pavement, or on a raised dish (for example on an upside down plate or something similar)

let the rain pour over your crystals and envision any stale or negative energies rolling off of each of them. visualize the rainwater’s energies purifying your stones and restoring/charging them from their outermost layer to their inner core 💧⚡️

please make sure to dry up as soon as you get inside and get warm as to not catch a cold! if you get sick really easily, consider boosting your immune system prior and having plenty of warm blankets ready or the heater on for when you’re finished.

witch tip: i love to do this with plants as well, but make sure it’s not one that may get root rot easy and will enjoy getting such a deep watering!
